I laugh about it. I have a plan, I can't do anything about it yet, so I just make the most of the situation I'm in. We all move on eventually, I'm determined not to let it ruin me. I'll look back at this time and not regret anything. Hopefully....

AGM 2014 - How are faders gonna hide in plain sight anymore?
by tootired2care inso two big changes in the org were announced in the most recent agm.. local needs part is replaced by "how do you know the truth" where all members will tell their experience (oh what fun).
basic pioneer role 10 only hours a month required (see, jehovah lightens our load, therefore he loves only us)!.
it seems like they have really turned up the heat here.

Are the figures above correct? A BILLION made from selling the brooklyn properties? And this project costing 11 million? What the hell do they need OUR money for, they're loaded!

Why isn't the world a frazzle?
by punkofnice inwhen i was a jw i had a lot of silly ideas that seemingly explained things i wondered about.
arguments from ignorance or special pleading i suppose.
actually, my conclusions were daft.. one thing i have wondered about and i don't know if anyone else has, is why man hasn't either rendered the earth to a cinder or why there haven't been more nukes go off against nations.

Anothertthing that surprisesme is that there aaren't more terrorist aattacks rrandomly hhappenin. Yes, of course tthere are the big ones we always refer to, 9/11, the lLondon bombings, oklahoma etc, but if they (whomever THEY mmight be) REALLY wanted to create terror, then purely random local football events, random train tracks being exploded, random changing rooms in ddepartmentstores, ttoiletsin mmacdonalds etc (not talking big explosions, just eenough to causeterror) would surely be just as, if not more, effective as one big hhighlyoorganised effort?
The fact that this doesn't happen indicates to me that there
1. Can'tbe that many loonies out there willing todo sstufflike this,
and/or 2. The security services are doing a bang up job!
Either way, it surprises me it doesn't happen more often , but it's certainly a good thing.

October 2nd, 2014: The World Ends Tomorrow, Taking all Bets!
by Oubliette inon october 2, 1914, charles taze russell, founder of the watchtower, announced that the gentile times have ended!.
tomorrow will be exactly 100 years since his historic announcment.. to commemorate this centennial occasion, i will gladly take bets in any amount of money that the world will not end tomorrow and that on friday, october 3rd, 2014 gmt, we will still all be here, for better or worse.. any die-hard jws interested in taking the other side of this friendly little wager?
still hoping the big "a" is coming tomorrow and your loving god, jehovah, is going to commit mass genocide and execute 99.9% of earth's population because they don't follow the dictates the 7 members of the "faithful and discreet slave," aka, the governing body of jehovah's witnesses?.
